About the Network

My Photo
is dedicated to supporting Ohio fiber producers and artists, and to developing awareness of the diversity and beauty of Ohio farm yarns and fleeces. Our fiber farmers raise alpacas, llamas, sheep, goats and angora rabbits for their beautiful fiber. Our fiber artists dye, hook, spin, knit, weave and felt the most beautiful fiber art you've ever seen. Knitters, check out our Ravelry group on-line. You can also follow us on Facebook. We're hoping you make 2012 the year you decide to go on an Ohio Fiber Diet by supporting your local fiber producer or artist! We don't think you'll be disappointed. Welcome to New Member Candy Haenszel

The Ohio Natural Fiber Network is growing.

Please welcome our newest member Candy Haenszel of Candy's in Cardington, Ohio.

Candy raises English Angora rabbits and has been doing so since 1972. At first, she raised them maily for show and to sell to those who were also showing. But then the fiber bug bit and she now raises them primarily for their wool and to sell to spinners.

In addition, she also sells her handspun Angora yarn and garments. Be sure to check out her website to see that famous Angora halo effect.

We look forward to learning much more about rabbits and the many uses for their fiber.
